Institutional Relationship Agreement Between PW and PC(USA)
PW and the PC(USA) have had a longstanding partnership based upon shared beliefs, and complementary visions and commitments, common history, and a relationship of mutual respect and cooperation. An Institutional Relationship Agreement outlines PW’s and the PC(USA)’s partnership in mission. Originally called a covenant, the agreement was first established in 2001 and renews every four years—most recently at the 225th General Assembly (2022).
While this covenant is specifically for the relationship between PW and the General Assembly, it is commended as a model for Presbyterian Women in relation to other corresponding councils.
