Sandy Vining (Build a Bouquet)

In memory of Sandra (Sandy) Vining.

Sandy was Search Committee Chair of PW in the Synod of the Covenant. Her first PW memories were of her mother’s participation in a circle when Sandy and her four sisters were young. Sandy sensed how special these meetings were to her mother and felt those same special feelings through her own participation.

As an Air Force family, Sandy and her family moved frequently. Over the years, she and her family resided in North Dakota, Alabama, California and finally Ohio.

In California, Sandy remembered being invited to a UPW luncheon (yes, before PW) and before long she was mentored and trained and then “up to her ears!” in her beloved PW.

She had wonderful memories of attending Presbytery, Synod and Churchwide gatherings and then in Miami Valley Presbytery, she continued her leadership in her congregation, presbytery and synod coordinating teams.

Sandy gave thanks that, while not wearing the white gloves her mother wore to circle meetings, she had PW friends across the country who were wonderful women in Christ.
